B&D Campus-Wide Planning Projects
New Campus for Episcopal Academy
B&D has overseen the programming and master planning process for Episcopal's new campus; coordinated the entitlements process; assisted with project financing and the disposition of current land assets; engaging and managing the designers, consultants, and contractors; and overseen the design and construction processes, including tracking and management of project budget and schedule. B&D University Housing Projects
New and Renovated Housing and Dining Facilities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
B&D conducted a student housing assessment for the University in 2004, with the goal of answering the question, "How large does University housing have to become to guarantee on-campus housing to all first-year students at UW-Madison?" Based on B&D's assessment, the University developed a Residence Halls and Food Service Master Plan, which includes numerous housing and dining construction and renovation projects through 2020. B&D University Recreation, Wellness, and Athletics Projects
New Recreation and Sports Center at Adelphi University
B&D conducted an analysis of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) and made recommendations to Adelphi University for its new 76,000 square foot Recreation and Sports Center, to be completed in 2008. To view the latest construction progress, click here.
New Campus Recreation and Wellness Center at the University of Iowa
B&D conducted a feasibility study and a feasibility study update, which were used by the University of Iowa as roadmaps for new construction and for the renovation and adaptive reuse of a number of campus facilities. New Student Recreation and Wellness Center at California State University, Long Beach
B&D conducted a preliminary assessment of CSULB's recreational offerings, and then was brought back to conduct a more detailed assessment. B&D determined there was sufficient demand to develop a financially feasible 120,000 SF recreation center. The new Student Recreation and Wellness Center is anticipated to open in the fall of 2010. B&D University Union Projects
Student Union Expansion and Renovation at San Diego State University
During the past several years, B&D has been retained repeatedly by SDSU to help plan the expansion and renovation of its student union. The multi-phase development is expected to be completed in March 2011. To view the latest construction progress, click here.
Student Union Renovation and Addition at University of Wisconsin-Madison
B&D completed a feasibility assessment for a proposed plan to renovate Memorial Union and to replace Union South with a new facility. To view the latest progress on this project, click here.
B&D Hotel/Hospitality Projects
B&D has assisted with the development and expansion of The Sea Ranch Lodge, located on the Northern Sonoma coast of California. The small-scale, upscale boutique hotel possesses a range of amenities that includes a health & wellness component and a restaurant with associated meeting and gathering spaces.
