District of Columbia (D.C. Public Schools) -- Scott Montgomery Elementary School

School Modernization Program Management

Washington, DC

The Scott Montgomery Elementary School modernization project was one of over 120 such projects for which the District of Columbia’s Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (OPEFM) retained Brailsford & Dunlavey to provide program management and project oversight services. Initiated in the fall of 2007, this modernization included adding 15,000 square feet of space to the School: three pre-K classrooms (900 square feet each), a 2,270 square foot cafeteria, and a 6,885 square foot gymnasium, along with restrooms and locker rooms.

The nearly $7 million project was completed in May 2009.

  • "The principals and staff assigned to our projects have consistently demonstrated a capacity to solve complex problems, meet challenging scheduled, manage tight budgets and ultimately ensure quality results."
    Mr. Allen Y. Lew
    Executive Director
District of Columbia's Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization
