Soccer Complex Feasibility Analysis
In summer of 2005, Site Design Group retained Brailsford & Dunlavey to perform a feasibility analysis for a soccer complex in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood of Little Village in Chicago. The study is being performed for the City of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development, and is a follow-up to the Little Village Quality of Life Master Plan prepared by the community itself.
B&D was responsible for conducting a market analysis consisting of a survey of comparable facilities in the Chicago area and nationally. In addition, B&D analyzed the demographics of the community, with an emphasis on Hispanic participation in sports.
In the subsequent phases of the project, B&D was contracted to prepare a detailed facility program, budget, and an operating pro forma. As part of the financial analysis, B&D explored public-private opportunities and their impact on the feasibility of the complex.
